note bookmarks drawer on right side of browser window.
Drawer would contain all sidebar content for mozilla
advantage: web page content size not diminished when accessing sidebar, content
does not need to be re-flowed to new size

The floating sidebar idea. It has been discussed and even implemented once at
least. Marlon, Todd, what do you'll think?

Samir, just to be certain, Reporter doesn't mean the floating windows, he's
referring to the Aqua "drawer" sticking out of the right edge of the window.
Setting as Enhancement.
Severity: normal → enhancement
Summary: pipe dream: have sidebar be a 'drawer'' in MacOS X → Display the Sidebar as an Aqua-style "Drawer" on Mac OS X

exactly what the drawer is for. I would consider this a big win for osx.

The problem is that drawers are currently only available to Cocoa applications.
Given that Mozilla is a Carbon application, this will not be possible unless
either Mozilla is changed to use Cocoa (a rather large undertaking) or Apple
provides drawer support to Carbon apps (no timeframe yet for that).
