I had an add-on user report this. I can see it too on WinXP but not Win7. From about:memory:
> 19.08 MB (15.87%) -- image(moz-icon:file:///C:/Program%20Files/Internet%20Explorer/iexplore.exe?size=16)
> ──19.07 MB (15.87%) ── source
> ───0.00 MB (00.00%) ── decoded-heap
The same size is reported for all moz-icon: images AFAICT.
