In bug 1147212, we are adding support for a new kind of malware/badware: potentially unwanted software. See the Chrome announcement: http://googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com/2015/03/even-more-unwanted-software-protection.html and the Google "unwanted software" policy: https://www.google.com/about/company/unwanted-software-policy.html With bug 1151279, we are also creating a new test page for it at http://itisatrap.org/firefox/unwanted.html (doesn't currently work). Once the feature has landed, we should update the SUMO at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-does-phishing-and-malware-protection-work: - new "What is unwanted software?" section - add the new test site to the "How do I use the Phishing and Malware Protection features?" section
Alice, I have submitted a new revision for review: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-does-phishing-and-malware-protection-work/revision/93513 Do I need to ping anyone about it or will it show up on someone's radar automatically?
Your new revision is listed at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/revisions?locale=en-US and it appears as pending review at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/contributors/kb-overview I'll cc Joni Savage on this since she's the KB Content Manager for SuMo.
I've approved your revision, Francois. We'll wait until 40 comes to Beta before localizing it, unless you need it sooner. Thanks!
Thanks Joni! No need to localize it before Beta, that's fine.
