Firefox for Android
Steps to reproduce:
Using an Android phone on WIFI with Firefox version 33 to 37.0.2, I tried to do a Google search trying to research something.
Actual results:
I type in the search and hit go. I then click on a link in the search and let the page load. Look at the page to see if it has the answer I need. Then hit the back button and repeat the process with the next link. After about 1.5 to 2 minutes of clicking on links Firefox starts to load the page then the progress bar freezes about 1/6th of the way across the screen. If you wait several minutes the progress bar generally will continue to about 4/6th or 5/6th of the way across the screen then freeze again and the page does not load. If you turn WIFI off then on again Firefox will work for another 1.5 to 2 minutes and freeze again.
The problem occurs with all websites tested.
This bug seems to only appear on high volume WIFI networks during times of high use--during times of lower use on the same network Firefox works fine. All other programs work fine over WIFI at all times. So the WIFI network does not seem to be the problem. Also all Firefox versions before version 33 (for instance 32.0.3, 30 & 17) that have been tested work fine on the WIFI network during times of high usage. So a change in version 33 of Firefox seems to be the likely source of the problem.
We have experienced the problem on the following devices:
Samsung Note 4 (running Android 5.0.1), Samsung Rugby Pro (Running Android 4.1.2), Galaxy S5 Active (running Android 4.4.4) & Kyocera-E6560 (Running Android 4.4.2). There are others, but I do not have the details for those, and we have not found an Android phone that does not have this issue on our WIFI network during times of high usage.
Expected results:
The page should load with out freezing while using WIFI.

Is this still an issue with the current version of Firefox from the Play store or from https://nightly.mozilla.org ?

I have actually moved on to a new job at the University of Washington and no longer have access to the test equipment (no one has replaced me at this point). I can give you some info, but don’t have specific versions. Version 38 fixed the problem, but at some point in one of the recent versions a similar problem resurfaced. In recent versions the page load progress bar started hanging at about 1/6th of the way across the screen. It would freeze for a minute or two and then continue to load. It would do this every 2 to 5 minutes while on Wifi. Again all other Apps worked fine on Wifi. Sorry I can’t give more detail.

Without someone with the ability to reproduce this issue I don't believe there is enough information to fix or understand the issue you saw. Thank you for the prompt response to my questions and for filing issues that you see.
