In bug 1150778 comment 8, Joe Steele at Adobe says he will ask about HTTPS download URL.
I talked with the folks who will be deploying this today. It looks like ETA on this will a couple of weeks due to the number of steps involved.
Thanks, Joe. I'm marking this bug as P2 because we would like to fix it soon, but it does not block our initial release.

Yes. The URL path remains the same, and either scheme should work.
Unless I'm missing something here, this URL is only reflected in our XML file and this should be a task for release engineering. Ben, is this something that you can tackle?
