we would like to add this message for up-to-date Fx users on /firefox/desktop: Your Firefox is up to date. Need help with anything? Needs some design/UX love as to where the message should be placed on the page. Target launch date June 2, so would need updated designs mid-May.
Hey Mike, Do you know, is Holly taking this work on? Do we also need to assign a designer? I want to make sure you have the resources you need for this.
It would probably be best to have Holly take a pass at this first. Might not need a designer. Holly do you have bandwidth to look at this within the next 2 weeks?
(In reply to Mike Alexis [:malexis] from comment #2) > It would probably be best to have Holly take a pass at this first. Might not > need a designer. > > Holly do you have bandwidth to look at this within the next 2 weeks? Yep! I'll put it on my schedule for next week.
For non-Fx users the page looks like this: http://cl.ly/image/1l2g1S3w1s30 For Firefox users who are up to date, the new message should populate the space where the download button would otherwise be. Here is a mockup to represent placement of the message and the icon we use to communicate a positive notification: http://cl.ly/image/3r1V1E1M3u2Z (I just cobbled it together with screenshots and the font size and color may not be accurately represented). Unless Lee has another suggestion, the message can use the font styles we use to display similar messaging elsewhere on mozilla.org. i.e., http://cl.ly/image/1w290v1x3K1g
Thanks, Holly. I think matching similar messaging styles on Moz.org like your example and http://cl.ly/image/1w290v1x3K1g is the way to go until we revisit the styles (switch over to Fira Sans etc)
Mike, Is there any additional support needed from Lee? Or is this bug good to resolve? Thanks!
