I couldn't find any automated tests for tab and other sharing when I was testing Bug 1159659. So I want to file a bug to make sure this doesn't get overlooked when we do our clean up of the sharing code.

Dan: is there more to be done here? Does this now fall under "functional testing" generally?

We already test tab sharing in our functional test. We no longer support other kinds of sharing. We have a bug open on getting functional tests running again in our new repo.
