https://blog.webmaker.org/whats-next-for-webmaker-tools says Popcorn is going read-only in six weeks time.

https://popcorn.webmaker.org/ shows no sign of this at all. This is going to be a nasty surprise for some users. Also, how likely is it that people will contact you, as the blog post requests, if they don't even know it's going away?

It would be good to add a "Popcorn may be shutting down - read more" notice to the top of the page. Not too big, please - I want the interface still to be usable in 1024x768.

Thanks,

Gerv
More specifically, I think we need something like the warning about Flash (much as I don't like it) which appears once on each visit but can be dismissed. It should say something like:

"Popcorn Maker may be shutting down - if that makes you sad, <a>read this</a>"

and link to a wiki page or similar with details of any continuation plans and ways to get in touch.

CCing a bunch of people who have worked on this codebase recently. Can we please get this done? Otherwise some people are going to get a nasty surprise...

Gerv
This has now been done.
