(Whiteboard: Doesn't happen with e10s disabled)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150518004004 Steps to reproduce: Update to 40.0a2, enable e10s after prompt and open Youtube.com Actual results: The tab containing Youtube crashed - though none of the others did - and each time after reloading it crashes again. Expected results: The website should load without crashing.

Janne, please try with a fresh profile or with all of your add-ons disabled (not safe mode as that disables e10s).

(In reply to [:tracy] Tracy Walker - QA Mentor from comment #1) > Janne, please try with a fresh profile or with all of your add-ons disabled > (not safe mode as that disables e10s). Ok, so I tried again first with my add-ons and I've noticed something. I only use 3 different ones: - ABP 2.6.9 - Hide Fedora 1.7.3 - Reddit Enhancement Suite 4.5.4 Trying every possible combination it seems that if both ABP and Hide Fedora are active at the same time (RES doesn't seem to influence it) every tab crashes (not sure if this changed or I missed that this morning). Nothing crashes in this case if e10s is off. And if you could give a short tut on how to make a new profile (and not lose the old one), I'll be happy to report back.

Thanks for checking, starting to look like an addon issue. But, did you try with all three of the addons disabled? Also https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Yes I did. In the same order as above: 1: no crash 2: no crash 3: no crash 1&2: crash 1&3: no crash 2&3: no crash 1&2&3: crash Nothing enabled: no crash And thanks for the link, I'll try the same thing with a new profile.

Another update: on making a new profile, I experienced no crashes whatsoever. I tried out the add-ons and e10s enabled/disabled. Again with respect to the order of the add-ons: e10s disabled 1: no crash 2: no crash 3: no crash 1&2: no crash 1&3: no crash 2&3: no crash 1&2&3: no crash nothing: no crash e10s enabled 1: no crash 2: no crash 3: no crash 1&2: no crash 1&3: no crash 2&3: no crash 1&2&3: no crash nothing: no crash Before those I also did a test without any add-ons but that was, as expected clean as well. Both e10s on and off. My old profile DOES reproduce the crashes.

Janne, can you post your about:support from the faulty profile.

I could not reproduce this on Windows 7 with Nightly 46.0a1, build ID 20151215030221, User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0. Verified with and without the 3 add-ons installed and no crash was displayed. Janne, can you please confirm whether this issue is still reproducible?
Janne, if you can reproduce this, can you please provide the info requested by Tracy in comment #6.
Due to time passed since last communication/update by reporter, and based on the fact that the issue is not reproducible on Nightly 46.0a1(see Comment 7) mark the bug Resolved - Worksforme. Please feel free to reopen if the issue still occurs in a current Firefox version.
