This is a conglomerate of bugs. 1) Mail Acct Prefs->[acct]->Security, UI doesn't retain prefs 2) Mail Compose Options->Security, menu doesn't retain settings 3) Mail Compose, everything S/MIME is silently ignored This is not a dupe of bug 108744. Reproducible in: My cvs trunk build (12/22); gcc 3.0.3 My cvs trunk build (12/22); gcc 2.95.3 Moz nightly (12/22) gcc-3.0 Moz nightly (12/21) i686
