Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 20150513174244 Steps to reproduce: Closed and then relaunched Firefox. Only reproducable on 38.01 Actual results: Launch reported that firefox was already running and prompted to Close or Cancel. 2 process instances can be see in task manager. Selecting Close reports that Profile is not found. Pressing OK on 2nd dialog closes 2nd instance, but trying to launch again creates the same issue circle. Selecting Cancel also closes 2nd instance, but trying to launch again creates the same issue circle. Selecting End Process or End Process Tree from Task Manager creates expected confirmation dialog. Confirming 'End Process' returns one to the task manager where it can be seen that the 1st instance of firefox.exe never shuts down. Computer must be rebooted to return to normal state. Expected results: After relaunching and being told that instance is already running, selecting Close on the first dialog should terminate both processes, or at least the problem instance. Also, selecting End Process in the Task Manager should follow normal behaviors. Firefox, however is operating as a terminate-and-stay and ignoring all requests.
Similar to 11 year old https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=239223 but unrelated IMO
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 20150513174244 This is duplicate of BugId-239223. I am unable to reproduce this.
