Bug 1352207 sort of addresses this, at least you can now hover over a number to see if it's better or worse. I'm not 100% satisfied with this implementation (I wish it were a little more immediately obvious), but I don't have any easy ideas on how to make it better. Let's close this for now and open a new issue if someone has an idea that fits with the presentation in the compare view.
