11718 - dbaron's sidebar demo: stocks fail to load in 8/11/08 build

Seamonkey 1999081108 on WinNT4.0 SP3.

To repro:
1) close Seamonkey if it's open
2) in x86rel\chrome\sidebar\content\default, rename sidebar-browser.rdf to
sidebar-browser-original.rdf and replace with attached sidebar-browser.rdf file
3) start Seamonkey, look at sidebar

Expected:
- stock prices should display in rows on stocks panel
- ticket should load and display stock prices

Actual:
- nothing displays, ticker shows "Ticker loading" message

We wish to add the sidebar demo to the milestone build acceptance tests, so
fixing this should be ideally considered an M9 acceptance blocker. If not,
marketing might find itself unable to demo the sidebar using M9.

By the way, this demo was working fine in the 72711 build according to
[e-mail].

It looks like window.location.href is busted.

Radha has a fix for the window.location bug, but with that fix applied,
apprunner crashes now. This new crash is tricky to debug. This will take more
time to investigate. Moving to M10.

I think the remaining problem is a dup of bug 11112.

The demo should now (August 15 and later) be working for file: URLs, which was
how it was meant to be used.

P.S.  Please cc: me on bugs on these panels.  It won't significantly increase
the amount of mail I get from Bugzilla :-).
