User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0
Build ID: 20150525141253
Steps to reproduce:
I have my own private add on / I am not an enterprise / A am not on ESR (nor to I intend to)
On https://wiki.mozilla.org/Addons/Extension_Signing in answer to " What about private add-ons used in enterprise environments? " You outline that a solution might be offered, but this is bound to the end of live time of the ESR, and therefore does not apply to me
Actual results:
With release of firefox 41 I will no longer be able to use my private add on. This addon only runs on my own PC.
For stability (including stability of other public addons used by me) I can not switch to any channel but Release channel.
Expected results:
Users should be able to run their own private add ons in future too.

There will be builds which will allow you to disable mandatory signing which differ from release only in branding. If, for some reason, these builds are insufficient for your needs, you can create an unlisted entry on AMO and upload your add-on for signing.
