From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221 BuildID: 2001122108 After loosing focus and regaining focus, at any page, mozilla sometimes ignores all keypresses. Annoying is that it happens very rarely, and it is not reproducable in any way other than just use mozilla for hours. I got the idea X screensavers are often cause of this bug. Both entering text in the url bar and the rendered page fails. X (4.1.0) and KDE (2.2.1) continue to function normally, and the only solution is restarting mozilla. All functionality besides typing seems normal when this happens. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Let X enter its screensaver, or change focus very often Actual Results: Keyboard dead Expected Results: Displaying typed characters
I've seen this too sometimes (KDE 2.2.1 and Gnome 1.4). Very hard to reproduce and didn't happen to me for quite some time now (like a month or so). Now using 2001122821 and KDE 2.2.2, didn't occur so far.
