Verify that the data collected in the default
Search Engine Data field is useful
(this is probably not filed in the right product/component but I didn't know where to file it) Bug 1164159 landed and the defaultSearchEngineData value in the telemetry environment should now be available for Nightly users. Is there any way for us to see the collected data soon so that we can ensure before uplifting that: - it's useful (ie. this works correctly) - it's not leaking user identifiable data that we thought we had anonymized
## Particular analysis (overview): - distribution of which 'class' the defaulEengine is in (based on source) - other irregularities / mismatches. ## Claims: - patches should remove several classes of "Impersonation" and default engines override / hijack
Component: Telemetry → Metrics: Dashboard
Product: Toolkit → Cloud Services

(In reply to Gregg Lind (User Advocacy - Heartbeat - Test Pilot) from comment #1) > ## Particular analysis (overview): > > - distribution of which 'class' the defaulEengine is in (based on source) > - other irregularities / mismatches. If I could just get a list of all the reported values for defaultSearchEngineData and a count of how frequently each occurred, that would be enough for here. > ## Claims: > - patches should remove several classes of "Impersonation" and default > engines override / hijack We can't really verify this, as the telemetry change landed after/at the same time as some of the patches we care about.
can you verify that this is collecting the right information

I didn't get help here, and figured out a solution on my own.
