Details

I just reflashed my Xperia Z3C device with the latest dogfooding build (including a new gonk; all-new aries.zip file).

I'm going through the first-time process, and I just signed into my Firefox Account.

The next screen after that is "About Firefox OS", and it's got some text and then a "Yes! Send data." checkbox.

The checkbox is checked, and I can't uncheck it. (tapping it has no effect) It's also a faint blue color, which I think means it's disabled.

I think this is a bug, and kind of a bad one from a privacy perspective -- it gives the impression that we're dangling a privacy choice in front of the user, but then it's broken and they can't actually opt to stay private.

Screenshot coming up.
Summary: "About Firefox OS" screen has "Yes! Send data." as a checked, disabled checkbox (can't un-check it) → [FOTA] "About Firefox OS" screen has "Yes! Send data." checked by default, and I can't un-check it
This is by design in bug 1160488.
