Steps to reproduce:

have a large contact list in facebook (ie over 1,500 friends)




Actual results:

Error: The server closed the connection

(forever on Connecting: Downloading contact list....)


Expected results:

logged in

I think we would need a protocol log to understand what's going on here. This can be gathered from the account manager: right click on the account and click "copy debug log". Facebook Chat is supposedly shutting off their XMPP interface though, so... Anyway, note that a protocol log can have private information in it -- I'd suggest scrubbing it first or emailing it instead of posting it on Bugzilla.

Looks like the server hasn't replied to:

in 30s, and we gave up after that time.

Does it seem like we gave up in a sane way or did we start pinging too early in the negotiation or something?
