I have a Sony Firefox OS device I obtained in Whistler. I found that GPS was putting me in Winnipeg...I downloaded the free "calibrate GPS" app and clicked "iniciar calibración" (initialize calibration) and stopped it after it reached 100%, and then it knew where I was, and GPS has been perfect since.

Update - it's not quite perfect since. When it stops working I end up calibrating the GPS again and usually it works after that.
