Description

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load MP-dev page and change the language to Arabic (https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/?lang=ar)
2. Write something in to the search field (or anywhere where user can type text: write a review popup window, report abuse, etc.)

Expected results:
There are no display or layout issues.

Actual results:
The mouse cursor has a “point” on the top-right side.

Notes/Issues:
Verified on FF41(Win 7). Issue is reproducing on MP-dev, stage and prod.

I can't reproduce this either. Seems like more of a platform bug to me. Can you reproduce this on other sites too or is it just Marketplace?

Sorry for the delay, I was on PTO.

I can reproduce this on MP-dev FF42(Win 7)(http://screencast.com/t/SHX8ONux1I) and also on AMO-dev FF42(Win7)(http://screencast.com/t/AMKHrEno5q); 
I cannot reproduce this in MP or AMO using Firefox Release.

I tried reproducing this in a Windows 7 VM, works as expected in Firefox release (v39) but I can reproduce the line off the side of the cursor in Developer Edition (v41).

The typing caret is indicating the direction of typing. This is not a bug and is common for languages that are written from right to left. I guess the reproduction problems caused because you were using non-rtl locale of Firefox, non-rtl system locale, or not enabled the preference browser.bidi.ui in about:config.

The initial issue is no longer reproducing.
Verified this on AMO-dev and MP-dev using FF50.1 and FF53 under Windows 7 for RTL languages.
Also checked this using a RTL build of Firefox.
