There is a disconnect between the the generated content's frame and the content.
If the content changes the content inside the frame does not change. For
example, if I use generated content and specify the "value" attribute as the
"content" for the generated content, when the value attribute is changed the
content does change.

GFX button now use generated content and use the value attribute, if you try to
change the label on a button via JavaScript it does change.

This is a blocker because generated content is used for option groups, and
comboboxes. The biggest blocker at the moment is comboboxes, its need because
a GFX button is used as the display area for the the selected item.
