Notification pull down messages are disappearing too fast.

The font is too big that it doesn’t show enough information.

The blue color background is too bright to read the white text - not enough contrast between background color and the text color.

I believe Eric worked on these? From what I can remember the design intent looked fine.

Could you attach a screenshot so we can verify that what you are seeing is correct? Thanks!

Hi Tiffanie, I'm not sure what screenshot you would like. And I think it would be very hard to grab on the phone.

Basically, when there is a new email comes in there will be what I call a 'pull down message notification' on the top of the phone saying email from xxx subject xxx. The message disappear to quick and the font is too big for me to capture the message it was trying to give me.

The mechanism of the pull down message works, just need to tweak it a bit: 1. to slower the pace of it disappearing from the screen, and make the font smaller so it can capture more message to read.

I hope that makes sense.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback! I've tested the email notification and I agree it disappears far to fast (felt like less then a second). It doesn't seem to be following the same timings as other notifications. The info currently shown seems to be the subject and sender.

We are planning to unify the notifications/toasts in bug 1174155. Marking this bug as a duplicate since it will be addressed in 1174155.
