... so the default search is Yahoo (bug 1171730). mconnor, do you already have a patch for this ? Hopefully it updates repack.cfg as well as distribution.ini.

I did some digging and it looks like there was about 6,000 pings per day that have "emefree" in their channel, taking the average over 1 weeks worth of logs. I'm not sure how many actual users this translates to.

Mike, I'm guessing that by closing this bug you're not concerned about the existing installs that have the wrong channel? Those users will get updates, of course, but without further intervention their channel will continue to be "release-cck-EMEfree". It's possible to fix them up, but not trivial, so if it's not of major concern it's probably not worth the effort to do anything.

Not super worried about those, since I'm betting only a fraction are in en-US + US. The remote defaults service will allow us to override.
