Given the prevalence of binary components in extensions installed with commonly used security and download products, there is a high risk that end-users who rely on those extensions will be adversely affected by deprecating binary components in Firefox 40. Some orgs have committed to being ready by 41, but cannot make 40, and we'll continue to work with those other organizations to ensure they're prepared for Firefox 41 to mitigate negative impacts on users. Notable extensions (not a definitive list) include those from Symantec, Kaspersky, and the Internet Download Manager.

https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-beta/rev/73a8176437a0 FIXED because this is a beta-only bug.
Benjamin, can you please confirm if binary XPCOM components have been deprecated in Beta41? At the time of comment 6, FF41 was in Aurora phase so I am not sure if a fix has to be ported over to m-b branch (again) to make it happen. Thanks!

These components are disabled in 41, from the original bug 1159737.
