Steps to reproduce:

Open a PDF of a scientific journal paper from a periodical in the built-in PDF viewer (subsription required): http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1359645410003824

System information:
Firefox 39.0
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
nVidia Quadro K600 (mosaic enabled)


Actual results:

The built-in viewer displays a quarter ellipse over the top left corner of images embedded into the PDF


Expected results:

The black quarter ellipses should not exist.
