118204 - Can not delete the characters properly in the text field above

Build: 01-04 trunk build on WinXP and linux RH7.1

Steps:
1. Launch browser and go netscape home page : http://home.netscape.com
2. Type in any symbol name in "Market Update" part, then click on "Quote".
3. Then will bring a stock quotes page.
4. Type in any symbol name in the text field, better to try some symbol more
than 3 letters.

Result:
You sometimes can not see the last letter(s), and if you press backspace key try
to delete the characters, the mouse cursor will moved to the beginning, and keep
press backspace key, even mouse cursor is at the beginning, but the last letter
was deleted.

Seems it's a very similar problem in bug 91423, but that case has been resolved.
