1184399 - All yahoo search leads to a blank page

I have yahoo set as my default search engine.

Searching (using the search bar):
mozilla try builder

attempts to open the page:
https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=mozilla+try+builder&ei=UTF-8&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001

Which leads to a blank page whose content is:
<!-- fe41.yhs.search.gq1.yahoo.com Thu Jul 16 00:37:33 UTC 2015 -->

and that's it....

So I understand this isn't a firefox problem per say (unless the URL is bad) but it's a rather disconcerting problem when the suggested default search engine doesn't work.

Thanks for taking the time to report this!
Does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems. It does not disable plugins which are add-ons.) See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode 

And does this also happen with a new and empty profile? See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile and http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing%20profiles

yes... same thing starting in safe mode.

https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=mozilla+try+builder&ei=UTF-8&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001

Interestingly, using a nightly build, a search gets me to:
http://au.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=mozilla+try+builder&ei=UTF-8&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001

which isn't an empty page.
and typing:
https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=mozilla+try+builder&ei=UTF-8&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001

redirects me to:
https://au.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=mozilla+try+builder&ei=UTF-8&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001

While on my aurora build, I'm not being redirected.

sounds like a yahoo bug

It works fine today..

Now being redirected to https://au.search.yahoo.com
