STR:
1. Log in to Twitter
2. Click on a link in a tweet (different than twitter.com)
3. Notice the icon of Twitter is displayed. The website icon is never displayed.

I noticed this with Facebook too, although the correct icon eventually shows. I wonder if it's something to do with redirect URLs.

This has been fixed by a previous update. The bug can't be reproduced anymore.
