Details

I was searching for existing bugs before filing one I discovered using <A HREF="http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&email1=&emailtype1=substring&emailassigned_to1=1&email2=&emailtype2=substring&emailreporter2=1&bugidtype=include&bug_id=&changedin=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&product=MailNews&short_desc=headers&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&long_desc=&long_desc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&status_whiteboard=&status_whiteboard_type=allwordssubstr&keywords=&keywords_type=anywords&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0=&cmdtype=doit&order=Reuse+same+sort+as+last+time">Bug Search</A> Initially I was clicking on possible matches, reading, then returning with the back button. Visited links were indicated by the conventional darkening of the link color. Then I found it more convenient to view the potential matches by opening each in a new tab, closing it when done, as the bug search results page continues to return to the top of page instead of previous vertical scroll position. However, when closing one of those tabs, not only was I not brought back directly to the parent tab, having to select it manually, but also the link I had just had open in the tab was not indicated as having been visited by the color darkening. Intevening tabs numbered four in total, with the parent the first of five. Modern. 2002010619.
