User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0
Build ID: 20150630154324
Steps to reproduce:
Using July 12 V3 Nightly Base Image, 20150729 gaia and gecko.
From default menu.
Actual results:
Seems the rocker switch is occasionally mapped to the incorrect sound.
Just awoken at stupid o'clock as volume of notifications was set full by myself last night.
When immediately trying to change volume the switch actually changes media and I have to head to settings >> sounds.. to adjust it.
When attempting reproduce for this bug report, however, sound has defaulted back to correct settings. Reboot fails to reproduce. I have taken decision to report as I have spotted this bug for last 3 days so can only assume it's of intermittent nature, and will report my findings accordingly.
About to shallowflash 20150730 gaia & gecko
Expected results:
Rocker switch correctly adjusting notification volume.
I have a similar experience since the last nightly system update from the weekend on my base image v1.8d nightly 3.
Steps to reproduce:
1. In the home screen if you select the volume control switch it changes the volume of incoming calls.
2. Now open the alarm clock app and create a new alarm for in 1 minute. Important: Select another ringtone than the previous one and change the colume via control switch.
3. Go back to the home screen via home button.
4. If you select the volume control switch it still changes the volume of the alarm clock. There is no way how you can change the sound of incoming alarms.

Moving to the correct component so the right folks see this; the "Ringtones" component just covers the ringtone picker.
Component: Gaia::Ringtones → Gaia::System

Adding slightly more detail. Going into settings and editing the volume from there. The most recently used slider then remains the default sound being adjusted by the rocker. Definite bug.

This seems fixed when checking nightly build from 2015-09-17 so closing.
