Details
**Requirements:**
- Connect automatically to Firefox OS Smart TV when on the same WiFi connection
- No passwords or configurations needed
- Leverage DIAL (in all likelihood) as the discovery mechanism, since this will be supported by Firefox OS Smart TVs
- Provide a visual notification in the browser that fennec is connected to a streaming device (in this case, a FxOS Smart TV)
**User Stories:**
- As a user, I want to seamlessly connect to a FxOS Smart TV when on the same WiFi network, so I don't have to search for passwords, codes or configuration screens on my device in order to have a clean and easy connection experience (avoiding any setup barrier-to-entry).
- AC: After connecting both the FxOS Smart TV and fennec device to the same WiFi network, fennec and the FxOS Smart TV are also connected without any user intervention.
- As a user, I want to know that Fennec is connected to a FxOS Smart TV as a reminder that I have a larger, second screen I can interact with.
- AC: Provide a visual notification (likely in-browser) that Fennec and FxOS Smart TV can see each other.
**Additional Info:**
- Targeting Fx 43 to coincide with CES as an available feature.

Snorp, Blassey - from speaking with Joe, seems like the presentation API is an appropriate route (which, snorp, I believe aligns with your understanding).
I've added the presentation api meta bug as a dependency, and would be grateful for your set of eyes to watch this progress to ensure it gets hooked in correctly. I believe the Taipei team is on point for integrating, but likely may need some help / guidance.
I'm NI-ing you for visibility, but feel free to remove that flag.
