Thunderbird 38.1.0, 40.0b1 and 42.0a1 20150801 on Windows 8.1 Lightning 4.0.1.2, 4.2b1 and 4.4a1 Creating a new task with a custom start date (e.g. tomorrow) doesn't list that in the task sidebar of the calendar tab. It is shown in the task tab.
I think you have applied a filter to the task list of the today pane. Right click the task list and choose e.g. All from filter sub menu.
Version: Sunbird 0.9 → Lightning 4.0.1.2
Aryx, can you cross check wether you had a filter applied as assumed in comment 1?
Filters seem to be in an ambiguous state: Nothing is checked in the submenu.
Severity: normal → S3
