The following blog post measures power consumption of Firefox/Chrome/Safari on Mac on a range of websites: http://blog.getbatterybox.com/which-browser-is-the-most-energy-efficient-chrome-vs-safari-vs-firefox/ Overall, Chrome was worst, Firefox was a little better, and Safari was substantially better. This is a tracking bug for the cases where Firefox was really bad.

Now that the blocking bugs have all been marked with "[Power]" in the whiteboard and so will be triaged on the Project Candle mailing list, this metabug is no longer necessary.
