"Swiping down from the top edge of the screen on a tablet" is one of the designed way to display the fullscreen warning box. I'm not quite sure how to implement it currently, though. Also since I don't have a Windows tablet, it is probably not easy to test myself.

Hello from the future!

I just tried this and the problem is that when a Windows 10 device is in Tablet Mode, swiping from the top is a reserved system gesture. It allows you to "grab" the application and either drag it to the side (to show two applications side by side) or all the way to the bottom to close it. I don't think it's possible to disable these gestures. I was able to eventually activate the Firefox drag-down gesture but it took a bunch of tries.

With Tablet Mode off, I was able to use the drag-down gesture successfully, but there is also nothing to tell me that it exists. I just tapped the hamburger-menu icon, then the two-diagonal-arrows (fullscreen) icon, and the top chrome (tab bar, URL bar, menu bar) all slid up and away. It's a decent UX clue I guess but a text description of how to "escape" wouldn't be a bad idea.
