User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0
Build ID: 20150806000107
Steps to reproduce:
Open one of the menus in the menu bar or open one of the RSS feeds menu in the bookmarks toolbar.
The bug is more noticeable with the gnome-breeze theme which has a blue background color.
Actual results:
The text color stays black, but the button background color changes to blue, making the text not as readable as it should be.
Expected results:
The text color should change to white, as it does with other GTK3 apps.
This was also tested on last nightly from today, the issue is the same.
BTW, gnome-breeze is needed on Plasma 5 to have an uniform look between Qt and GTK applications.
To be clear, this is a regression from switching to GTK3, and it worked in prior releases of Firefox?
OS: Unspecified → Linux
Actually the issue is the same with GTK2. So this isn't specific to GTK3.
No longer blocks: gtk3
Summary: Text color of selected menus stay black with gtk3 → Text color of selected menus stay black

The toplevel menu was fixed by bug 1248974 in Firefox 49 (currently in beta, https://beta.mozilla.org/ ).
The bookmarks menus are changed in Firefox 50 (bug 734326) to use the same styling as the navigation toolbar buttons. As a result, I'm marking this as worksforme.
