Reproducible with 40.0 RC build 4 (Build ID: 20150806153638), latest 41.0a2 and 42.0a1 (both from 2015-08-06) Affected platforms: Windows 7 64-bit Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox and navigate to http://mozilla.github.io/webrtc-landing/gum_test.html 2. Click on Video or Audio&Video button. 3. Share devices when prompted. 4. Wait a few seconds Expected result: No glitch visible. Actual result: Glitches are displayed. Additional notes: 1. Unable to reproduce with NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 nor AMD Radeon HD 6450 graphics, Windows 7 64-bit. 2. Reproducible with hardware acceleration disabled and also with 39.0b7 - not a recent regression. 3. Graphics: Graphics Adapter Description NVIDIA GeForce 210 Adapter Drivers nvd3dumx,nvwgf2umx,nvwgf2umx nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2um Adapter RAM 1024 Asynchronous Pan/Zoom none Device ID 0x0a65 Direct2D Enabled true DirectWrite Enabled true (6.2.9200.17292) Driver Date 2-3-2015 Driver Version 9.18.13.4144 GPU #2 Active false GPU Accelerated Windows 1/1 Direct3D 11 (OMTC) Subsys ID 040110b0 Supports Hardware H264 Decoding true Vendor ID 0x10de WebGL Renderer Google Inc. -- ANGLE (NVIDIA GeForce 210 Direct3D11 vs_4_1 ps_4_1) windowLayerManagerRemote true AzureCanvasBackend direct2d 1.1 AzureContentBackend direct2d 1.1 AzureFallbackCanvasBackend cairo AzureSkiaAccelerated 0
Hi Milan -- There's a good chance that this affects video playback on this hardware/with this driver as well. When do you think someone from gfx can look at this? Thanks.

I'm assuming the about:support is from when the hardware acceleration is not disabled; Alexandra, can you also show what the graphics section of about:support looks like when the hardware acceleration is disabled and this problem shows up? If there is a chance for a regression range, it'd be handy.

Randomly tried a couple of Windows 7 laptops (with acceleration disabled) - I don't see problems; can you attach an image of what the glitches look like?

Graphics section with HWA disabled: Adapter Description NVIDIA GeForce 210 Adapter Drivers nvd3dumx,nvwgf2umx,nvwgf2umx nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2um Adapter RAM 1024 Asynchronous Pan/Zoom wheel input enabled Device ID 0x0a65 DirectWrite Enabled false (6.2.9200.17461) Driver Date 2-3-2015 Driver Version 9.18.13.4144 GPU #2 Active false GPU Accelerated Windows 0/2 Basic (OMTC) Subsys ID 040110b0 Supports Hardware H264 Decoding No; Hardware video decoding disabled or blacklisted Vendor ID 0x10de WebGL Renderer Google Inc. -- ANGLE (NVIDIA GeForce 210 Direct3D11 vs_4_1 ps_4_1) windowLayerManagerRemote true AzureCanvasBackend skia AzureContentBackend cairo AzureFallbackCanvasBackend cairo AzureSkiaAccelerated 0 I may say that with HWA disabled, the issue is still visible but more rarely. Here is a hardly caught screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/XhvI39F.png > If there is a chance for a regression range, it'd be handy. Unfortunately I'm on PTO until September 7th, but Vasilica here will give it a try.

Vasilica pointed that she was unable to reproduce this issue on the same Windows 7 64-bit machine. I also confirm the same: not reproducible with latest 41.0b7, 42.0a2 nor 43.0a1; same result with 9.18.13.4144 driver version and the last one, 9.18.13.4181. Maybe something fixed this in the meantime?! Although, while testing I've encountered crash bug 1202424.
