Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Mobile; rv:40.0) Gecko/40.0 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150803103944 Steps to reproduce: 1. Load a page with lots of text, such as https://www.npmjs.com/policies/privacy 2. Resize the window down, so that text is reflowing into the limits of the window and not some max-width or media query-induced fixed width. If on Firefox for Android you don't need to do this because hopefully your screen size has already forced this state. 3. Scroll down a lot. In this page, scroll until the title "Collection of Personally Identifying information" is well at the centre of the viewport. 4. If you're on Firefox for Android, tilt the screen sideways so that Android resizes the Firefox window. If you're on desktop, resize the window down, horizontally, so that it is much less wide than how you left it in step 2. Actual results: Because the resize occurred and causes the text above to reflow, the title, along whatever you were reading, is now well off the screen! Expected results: Every webview and browser that can be resized has this issue, that I'm aware of. But Firefox shouldn't have it because it's the best browser around! At least not in the reading view. What I think that should have happened is that the text reflowing should have actually pushed the page's scroll down (or up) so that whatever was in the middle of the page stays in the middle of the page (or the same, except for the top, whatever is best). Disclaimer: I know that this seems obvious because I am a web developer, and it might also seem stupid or an act of trolling because every browser and web view does this and it's not really a bug or defect. However, this is *really* annoying (as it always is, when losing state) and I feel that it would make the web a little bit better for everyone if only they weren't always scrolling down and up, trying to find what they were reading before tilting the screen or downsizing the window to do something else as they read. Thanks, everyone.

This bug is unrelated to bug 755770 since it's actually not Android-specific, and it does not involve resizing, and then resizing back, instead to lose your place in the text you only need a single resize, and reflow does the rest.
