User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150807085045 Steps to reproduce: This is a regression that began with Firefox 40: 1. Type a url in the urlbar and push enter. 2. Now quickly before the web page begins loading (this is easier to reproduce on connections with very high latency) start typing in something else to the urlbar Actual results: Firefox will replace what you typed in the urlbar with the url of the website that it loaded. Expected results: Firefox should leave the text alone.
Pete, could you please be more clear regarding the steps to reproduce? (please mention the url you are using in step 1, what are you typing in step 2, what is the output in the URL bar after that).
