Details

When someone installs Firefox and chooses to migrate their data from another browser, we should re-migrate their data from that browser again in the future. Whether we do it once a day/week/month or based on some other metric is to-be-determined. The basis for this is that if people wanted to separate activities between browsers, Chrome-for-catvideos and Firefox-for-internetshopping, then they would not have set up migration between the two browsers in the first place. If however they do a migration, then they have signaled that they do not mind that the browsers share data.
Bug 737804 is about switching to how Chrome works where migration is done continuously in the background based on preferences.
