Mozilla creates one profile in the default installation. From then on it never goes to profile manager. Profile manager is not available from the Mozilla menus (or at least, I cannot find it) and there is no documentation on profiles in the help file (at least, not in the index under "Profile Manager". Considering how many times the answer to a problem is "create a new profile" this is a serious omission.

well on the install version of mozilla a link to profile manager is created. also mozilla is for testers.. not end users... (how many times do we hear that) so testers should know anyway? *ducks* either way.. I'm guessing this is good enough to be confirmed as new... but then will probably get resolved as wontfix ..

On Windows systems, Mozilla does have Profile Manager in the start menu. If there is not yet a section called Managing Profiles in the Mozilla help, there will be when the Netscape help is donated to Mozilla. This section provides documentation on creating new profiles and managing existing ones. Resolving as invalid.

While there is now profile help, it doesn't mention the new profile manager listing in Tools menu.

I looked at the help in Mozilla 1.7.13 vs. Seamonkey 1.0.5, and there was a big problem w/ the help info (it was all wrong on this topic...) So this bug was valid, and apparently fixed via bug 206096.
