User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0
Build ID: 20150812163655
Steps to reproduce:
I have installed Privacy Badger on Firefox 40.0.2 and placed its icon inside the hamburg menu using the "customize+" function. The issue doesn't happen if the icon is placed outside the menu.
Actual results:
With the first click on the hamburg menu the menu gets highlighted. On the second click it opens.
Expected results:
The hamburg menu should open on the first click.

Privacy Badger developer here. I have been unable to reproduce the problem so far, but it seems like we shouldn't be able to affect the operation of the hamburger menu, no? This seems like a bug in Firefox if putting privacy badger in the dropdown menu causes the dropdown menu to malfunction.

I'm getting the same results with the extension "Video DownloadHelper" when it's within the hamburger menu.
I'm not able to reproduce the issue with a fresh profile and only Privacy Badger on FF40 win 7.
reporter, are you able to reproduce it with a fresh profile and PB installed?

Well I just found out once I am at about:blank / about:newtab etc. the bug doesn't appear.
On every other website it does.
Same effect on my old profile and a fresh profile.

I am able to reproduce it with a fresh profile on FF 40.0.2 on Windows 10 with only PB installed.

I tried again on FF40, and I was able to reproduce it with Privacy Badger or Video DownloadHelper (on YT page e.g.).
I tried with Nightly (FF43) in non-e10s mode and it works normally so I think it's already patched.
Working regression range:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=72835344333f&tochange=15155971639c
So it's fixed in FF42+.
Summary: Hamburg menu only opens with double click → Hamburg menu only opens with double click with add-ons Privacy Badger or Video DownloadHelper installed

Gijs, I believe bug 1029937 has fixed this current issue.
Do you know if it could be backported into FF41?
