Using BuildID 2002011103 on Windows 2000 Pro SP2
If you move a read email from another folder into the INBOX, the new mail flag
appears and the new mail sound.

Are you moving mail from a local folder to imap inbox?
No this is from another IMAP folder, I should have made that clear

I believe that although the complains and proposed remedies are different, the
root cause of this bug and bug 162475 are the same.
