User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_5) AppleWebKit/600.8.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0.8 Safari/600.8.9 Steps to reproduce: Start Firefox Do some work in other applications Actual results: Firefox crash reporter pops up Expected results: no crash
My too most current crash reports: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/290c1262-cde5-414c-bf09-6e4932150819 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/33645d37-1591-4632-a5eb-20bcf2150820 Crashing since some versions (36/37) ago, not fixed with version 40. Also tried with new empty profile.
Maybe it has something to do that I use an HTTPS proxy also for HTTP like described here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378637#c68

Yes, most probably HTTPS proxy is the culprit. I've been using an HTTP proxy now for some days without a crash, and after switching back to HTTPS it crashed again after some hours. FWIW, the HTTPS proxy is Squid 3.1.23 packaged with and running on CentOS 6.7.
