1196803 - Add a "reply and needinfo" button

It's quite common that I reply to a comment on a bug and want to needinfo the person I replied to. It would be nice to have a button that sets that up directly.

Another idea would be to have the drop down menu for a person to include a Needinfo option.

i'm hesitant to add another button to the current ui.
the new ui is a bit more accommodating of these changes, moving there.

eight months later i'm also hesitant to add more buttons to the new ui.

an alternative approach would be to put the author of the comment you're replying to in needinfo's "other" textfield (but leave the needinfo checkbox unchecked).

What about using a segmented dropdown-style button for Reply (like Thunderbird does for Reply List)?

In short, the button has two regions, the "Reply" part that's styled like a button and a down-arrow that's immediately adjacent to the right.  Click on the reply button, you just get reply.  Hover over the down arrow and it looks button-y.  Click on it and you get [Reply and Needinfo].

Extra clicks can be avoided by allowing the drop-down pop-up to appear on mouse-down and the selected item to be triggered on mouse-up (as in Thunderbird.

The same idiom could also be used for the Tag button to allow common tags like spam to be applied without typing.

No, the existing needinfo has the preset options "reporter", "myself", "triage owner" or "other" for a freeform entry. If I wanted to needinfo you when replying to you I would have to select other and then manually copy your email address into the field.

I realise this is poorly worded. What I mean here is if you click on a users name above a comment they made it currently shows a menu, adding a "Request needinfo" option to that menu would be an alternative solution to an additional button in the UI, albeit less discoverable.
