This is the icon for the iTunes Connect meta data.

"This icon will be used on the App Store and must be in the JPG or PNG format, with a minimum resolution of at least 72 DPI, and in the RGB color space. It must not contain layers or rounded corners"

**the app icon that is uploaded in itunes connect should not be rounded (should be square) and 1024x1024.  (I see a lot of apps make this mistake where they upload a rounded icon and it tapers weirdly on devices.)
