User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0
Build ID: 2015080700
Steps to reproduce:
I created a firefox sync account and enabled syncing on my firefox instance.
Actual results:
After some time (10minutes?) I keep getting the error "Sync encountered an error while syncing". When this happens I'm always logged of. If I try to relogin in by giving my password the same thing happens again.
Expected results:
I should be singed in for ever on firefox sync.
What I did for solving the issue:
- deleted and recreate my Firefox sync account
- create a new firefox profile
- tried it on my android tablet
All had the same result.
I attached the sync log both with my settings. Note that I disabled the option to store passwords in firefox.

Moving to a more appropriate component
QA Whiteboard: [bugday-20150817]
Component: Untriaged → Sync
The 3 bars icon on top right has a yellow line in it, says I need to log into sync. Once I put my password back in it synced, but this goes on and on all the time, re log in to sync!!!!!! I don't get an Error when syncing, I just keep having to LOG BACK IN!!!!

wb1clark: Support is provided on http://support.mozilla.com/ - please take a look there, and/or attach your debug log of the failed sync in this ticket.

I suspect the problem in both these cases is the use of an addon that tries to provide its own password management features - see bug 1166571 for a list of some of the ones we know about (although there are almost certainly ones we don't know about).
Can you list the addons you have installed?

Indeed this is the case, I'm using Passifox. If I let firefox store the passwords it works as expected. This is a good workaround for me so I'll mark this as resolved.
