This does not happen consistently on any given site, but happens repeatedly. I tried deleting my ~/.mozilla/ directory and using a clean installation of Firefox and a similar crash still occurred. It appears the problem exists in x86 as well (not just x86_64). bp-0f0aab06-36f9-4d49-b532-56da12150910 bp-1fb9e7a8-3126-437b-aa0d-a58c92150909 bp-c9f7a574-b8c5-4251-a7fc-ab7fe2150909 bp-37e28a45-4ab9-49db-a5df-5a9c22150908 bp-7cbfbcac-fa48-42ac-bdac-dbada2150908 bp-b670dc0d-03ef-4b62-b3f8-97e562150907 bp-00d5bdf4-a2bc-45e5-98a6-650f62150907 bp-2cffdad4-571b-4d20-b3a4-04c972150907 bp-5971a159-e46b-40a5-8daf-96cc52150907 bp-870e8c48-8fd9-4c18-8bd8-b5e622150907 bp-dbb2e55d-0a46-49d7-b966-6adb12150906 bp-0ec1c89d-8707-4701-b919-9cd642150906

A couple more. In these and the above cases, the crash always (or almost always) occurs after quitting (ctrl+q). bp-90ca03ac-3c10-4819-aa1a-a11fb2150910 bp-3219116c-385f-437f-80b3-f40302150912
Here's a crash that occurred when I had opened Firefox in safe mode, yet again when I was away from my computer. bp-f5abb3fc-c9f1-4b35-b6c2-067212150913

I had a similar crash on Ubuntu 13.10 32 bit using Firefox 41 RC Build 2 (BuildID: 20150916203902). I had various pages opened: Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and I navigated on them when the crash occured. Here is the crash report: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/2db728ed-e20b-45ed-a943-548142150917
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
This crash occurred using binaries downloaded directly from Mozilla. bp-7f34b16b-a82f-43d8-8aef-a78982150921
Crashes appear to have stopped since upgrading to Firefox 41.
I spoke too soon... bp-c8082530-0a97-4bcb-9fda-0a51f2150926
Crashes are continuing in Firefox 41 with no rhyme or reason, including a crash right after restarting Firefox after a previous crash. bp-8755c238-76e3-4b86-92e2-ca33d2151019 bp-49aff61a-be02-4d6b-a759-12c7e2151019 bp-f8fc5316-1616-419a-ba11-34eb32151018 bp-910a5a81-57ee-4b8f-9ebc-eeb532151017 I thought these went away with Firefox 41, but they have returned. Once again, if I can provide any more information, please let me know.

(In reply to Liviu Cirdei [:liviucirdei] from comment #10) > Hi David, > > Have you experienced similar crashes on latest Firefox release (Firefox 43)? Yes, these crashes have continued into 43 and 44. I am now using Fedora and do not get the Mozilla crash report dialog when Firefox crashes. Please let me know what other information I should provide.

Crashes have continued into Firefox 47, all at random. Most of these signatures indicate GC crashes. bp-847350c3-ed39-428b-a536-6c8af2160723 bp-267b2d91-4a9e-4952-8a8a-b83122160723 bp-efec1986-f69b-48f9-94ea-bf1fb2160722 bp-7b977a46-106a-4b28-87a9-cb1372160722 bp-e830c106-247e-4eb5-82c9-e79fd2160722 bp-6a52403d-eb0d-43f8-8857-d62f72160722 bp-94ae4250-4028-463a-af48-4c3802160721 bp-9fa54397-723e-4d16-9d8c-e228b2160721 bp-c6f28758-5cea-4438-898e-886fc2160721 bp-442d0170-e72f-4cdc-ba2c-9d6f22160720 bp-652feb81-75b4-466e-bdf4-ab2242160718 bp-9526b4d7-d704-40e4-a19a-512e02160718 bp-aac4b0e3-1787-4b4a-b58d-bf8c82160717 bp-9951561c-1628-482d-9470-9b8f12160717 bp-cf031575-451e-4c41-bb15-fde592160717 bp-20b63b28-0cb8-4ff0-a067-c92712160717 bp-04f89d19-111e-4f12-b16e-d03b32160716
