Reproducible with: 
- Firefox 41 Beta 5 - BuildID: 20150827142634
- latest Firefox 42 Aurora - BuildID: 20150827004003
- latest Firefox 43 Nightly - BuildID: 20150827030213

Reproducible on: Windows 7 x64, Ubuntu 12.04 x86 (did not try on Mac)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Navigate to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/local-music-player/?src=ss and install the Local Music Player add-on.
2. Click on the toolbar add-on icon, then click the folder icon, select a folder with music, check the folder check box and then click ok.
3. Click the toolbar add-on icon again and then click the play button for one audio file. 

Expected results: the audio file starts to play.

Actual results: the audio file does not start to play.

This is a regression between 41 Beta 4 and 41 Beta 5 and bug 1184387 is the most likely suspect:

[Tracking Requested - why for this release]: I think breaking add-ons is pretty bad, and there may be more add-ons affected in the same way.

Tracked as this seems to be a recent regression from 41.0b4 to 41.0b5.

Dave, this is the bug that I mentioned on IRC/email. It is a recent regression. Could you please help find an owner?

There isn't really anything we can do here other than back out bug 1184387 or accept the add-on breakage as necessary because of it.

It is getting too late to fix this in FF41 given that we don't have a patch ready or in the works.

If this is the only addon that breaks, I think we should ship the patch. Please let me know immediately if there are more that break.
