1201418 - Search on market place doesn't show interesting results

To put it bluntly, the search feature of the market place is useless.

Search for "TOTP", it will show the TOTP app, followed by useless unrelated hits, but not Firekey, which should be one of the first results. Interestingly, the TOTP app doesn't appear when doing a search from desktop, and Firekey appears, after a bunch of unrelated things.

That's my example of the day, but I've never done a search on the market place that didn't result in disappointment (and that's not even talking about quality of the apps or their number)

I didn't report it earlier because I was hoping (wishful thinking) this would get better. 9 months after my first use of the market place, I'm afraid it hasn't, thus this bug.

"TOTP" appears for me on desktop if I search for "All Platforms". As it's not compatible with desktop, it's hidden from desktop by default.

Firekey is the 15th result for me when searching for "TOTP" on All Platforms, 14th when limiting to "Firefox OS". I think it's because "totp" only appear in its description, once.

We do a fuzzy search on name/slug to account for misspelled words, and it has a higher boost than the description search.

If "totp" appeared multiple times in Firekey's description, or was set as a keyword by its developer, I suspect it would help (though maybe not enough here). Of course, there might be some tweaking we can do too, not saying the bug is invalid.

We can (and did) add "TOTP" to the search keywords. This should improve its results (HT Fred).
