Search bar appears to be a separate section from the rest of the screen.
[Repro Steps]:
Prereq: apply the new screen
1. Long tap on the homescreen
[Actual Result]:
Homescreen setting menu pops up but search bar stands out
[Expected Result]:
Background with even overlay

There's really not much we can do about this currently, the system app is responsible for drawing the search bar - we can pick a colour that will make it blend in slightly better, but the problem is we can't synchronise animations at all, so any non-opaque colour looks quite odd.
If pop-up windows had a different presentation, or we could add a hint to get a different presentation, that would be a possibility, but that's not going to happen in the 2.5 time-frame.
